Message from President:

When I’m in the process of being retained by a new client to represent their interest in an office lease transaction, whether it be an office lease renewal negotiation or acquiring a new office space, I always ask two questions: Did you have representation in your last office lease transaction, and, if so, why are you not having them represent you this time?

Often, the answers I receive are: I don’t really have a relationship with them, and, I don’t think they did a very good job.

The first answer is self-explanatory, the second, I find, is due to their previous broker(s)’s lack of understanding about their situation and poor communication throughout the process.

I formed Rapport Realty Advisors because commercial brokerage is a very transactional business, and although many brokers hold themselves out to be relationship centric, the reality is, once they’ve been retained by a Tenant, their attention is already focused on where the next transaction is going to come from. Ultimately, this leads to poor service and bad advice.
